Maiden Jaunt into the Forest
There's something magical about forests and especially so early in the morning so Gabriel was all excited about our plans to check MacRitchie Nature Reserves out. We both got up early and headed out just a little after 7:15 on Saturday morning, eve of Mrs Chen's birthday. If everyone (those in Singapore at least) remembers, it poured cats and dogs and them some cows too on Friday night. 
That just means Gabriel's maiden adventure into the forest was a muddy one and we all know how he gets when things get a little messy :p He wasn't too keen on the puddles and mud but I was very proud of him. He was intrigued and lasted all 45minutes through the trails. We stopped to looks at spiders, crickets, butterflies, fish, pondskippers and even monkeys. Where he bravely told me, "They are smaller than you why should you be scared of them?" O_o
While he enjoyed the little jaunt, when I asked him if he would like to go back to the forest. He said, "No. Too dirty." :p So I guess I'll have to work on the other two if I want company for my morning jogs. My hunch is that Rachael is going to be a better bet than Mabel who is more inclined and excited about our high tea date in a couple of weeks :)
